Nicole has been an examiner for Australian Teachers of Dancing since its inception in 1991, was made a life member in 2006 and was awarded the Avril Binzer Memorial Award for services and dedication to ATOD. ![]() In 1979 Ashfield Ballet School was opened in Cleveland and this very quickly grew into one of the largest and most successful ballet schools in Redlands City (near Brisbane). She is also a Life Member and Registered Teacher, Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). Nicole holds a Dip ABS, RAD, Licentiate, a Graduate Diploma (The Australian Ballet School 1969) and is a Life Member, Examiner and Licentiate (ATOD). She then began teaching in partnership with her mother at the Binzer Schools of Ballet and Modern Dance in Glen Waverley, Melbourne until moving to Queensland with her family in 1977. Nicole has enjoyed a diverse dance career which has included dancing in musicals and operas, winning the World Amateur Latin American championship in 1967 and being involved in the production of Nureyev’s version of ‘Don Quixote’ in 1970. Teri is thrilled to have the opportunity to share her experience with Australian Teachers of Dancing and is looking forward to meeting more fascinating people who share her passions. The most important mission of her life is to be the best Mum she can possibly be while running a successful business and living the example that both things are possible by paving your own path. Teri is also an active speaker at the DanceLife Retreat Centre, DanceLife Teacher Conference, International Dance Entrepreneurs Association, and Hollywood Connections. As the mother of two teenage boys, Teri works hard at maintaining the balance of family life, creative artist, and business owner. ![]() In their 25th season and with a staff of over 25 people, In Sync currently teaches over 1,600 students weekly in various dance, toddler, music, and theatre programmes. in Quincy, Massachusetts, USA and is passionate about sharing her journey and helping fellow studio owners achieve their optimal success.
